ThermoBar’s heated hose simplifies water handling in the winter. Insulated and heated so the hose can be used in temperatures down to approx. -40°C without freezing. With a quick connector and a plug it is easy to mount the hose and also easy to disconnect it when the trough needs to be cleaned or moved.
It is possible to use several water sources with spiral hoses and move the ThermoBar and heated hose between them. Using only 24-volt electricity to heat the hose, it is a safe system that keeps water from freezing. If there is a power outage and it does freeze, it will thaw fast once power is on again. With the float valve under the surface of the heated water, the entire system is weather proof.
NB – When you have animals and electricity together, it is important that you only use low voltage electricity – 24 volt. If the system somehow gets damaged, remember that water conducts electricity. We STRONGLY advise against using 230-volt water refilling systems in our ThermoBars due to the risks involved for the animals.
This system is suitable to use with ThermoBar 80 DP and ThermoBar 250. Designed to be used with a Rojo float valve.

The heated hose is connected with a quick connector to the float valve. The other end is connected to the spiral hose with quick connector. Electricity for the heating system is connected with a plug to the extra socket on the heated ThermoBar 80 DP or ThermoBar 250.
