Cookies are used so that we can see the choices you have previously made on our site and to give us the opportunity to improve it. Cookies are also used to measure the traffic on our websites and for statistics.
Sometimes different social media also stores cookies on your computer. Your IP number can also be stored for statistical purposes. The information collected is anonymous and does not contain any personal information such as name or e-mail address. Visitor information can not be traced to us.
It is possible for you to make settings on your computer that prevent us and our content providers from placing cookies on your computer. However, such settings may mean that some functions will not work fully. Information on how to prevent the storage of cookies on your computer can be found below.
What are cookies?
A cookie is a small amount of data that usually has a unique stamp on it. This data is sent from a website server to your browser and stored there, on your hard drive, so that the website can recognize your computer. All websites can send cookies to your browser if your browser settings allow it. In order not to misuse this information, websites can only read information from cookies saved by themselves and not any cookies saved by other websites.
There are two types of cookies, permanent and temporary (so-called session cookies). Permanent cookies are stored as a file on your computer for a longer period. Session cookies are temporarily placed on your computer when you visit a website, but disappear when you close the page, which means that they are not saved permanently on your computer. Most companies use cookies on their websites to improve usability and cookies can not damage your files or increase the risk of viruses on your computer.
As a user, you have the option to set if you want cookies to be saved automatically in your browser, if you want to be asked every time a cookie wants to be saved or if you want no cookies to be saved. Cookies are used on many websites, to keep track of whether the browser has visited the website before and what choices have been made. At each visit to the website, a check is made as to whether cookies are stored in the browser or not. If there are no stored cookies from the website, the browser saves the cookies that are on the website.
Further information about cookies is available on the Swedish Post and Telecom Agency’s website, www.pts.se.
